China Central Academy of Fine Arts, China - Spring 2009

The meeting with Anna Rita Alatan, the Italian woman artist, should be attributed to two of my friends, Mr. Deng Shenshi and Ms. Ren Rong, the vocal professor who have been living in Italy for thirty years and contributing to Cino-Italian cultural exchange. "The Spring of Thoughts - The Mysterious Feminine World of Anna Rita Alatan" Solo Exhibition is a visual and pleasant artistic journey after two years of preparation.

Anna Rita Alatan was born and is living in Rome. She studied in Rome University of Fine Arts in early years, the old and holy soil filled with romantic humanistic and artistic atmosphere gave her painting ispiration and illumination, cultivated her persistance and devotion. Painting is her favourite, her dream, even her life.

In her paintings, strong colors, mysterious symbols and magic images are poured into the artist's emotions and dreams, expecting mental echo, expressing joy and suffering for spiritual comfort. Her works are telling her heart and waiting for your interpretation. From the artist's works, we can see her thirst and love for the ancient civilization, her anger and suffering for their being hidden and trampled, as well as her effort and pursuit for the "island of happiness" in her dream. Anna Rita Alatan went on her trip with dreams, each artistic journey was a trip of expression and appealing, moreover, a distillation of her findings and innovations. She likes to show her works to more people from different countries, and enjoys the moment communicating with a dream or a spirit. As a woman artist Anna Rita Alatan cares about not only painting itself, but also the spiritual, life and human civilization...

Since 1970s, Anna Rita Alatan held shows and exhibitions in different countries and regions, wich won her international reputation. To hold exhibition in China is her years-long dream and a stop on her way to dream. We hope the big oriental country with five thousand years of civilization would stimulate her passion and inspiration, Anna Rita Alatan would go further and further on her artistic journey.
