Anna Rita Alatan, The Painter of Soul

"Anna Rita Alatan's paintings contain very intense concept, while very strong spyritual pursuit in meaning..."

"ARA's paintings are magic and mysterious, which rather belongs to dream and subconscious world than the realistic..."

The catalogue of the exhibition describe as this. Thus the opportunity to appreciate the outstanding soul painter's works cannot be missed.

The opportunity is her "single" exhibition at the Egypt Culture Center, Rome from June to August 2003.

The sixteen oil paintings, the sixteen emotions experienced or suffered by the charming roman (Sabine native) woman painter, clearly showed the color and painting skills which are developed from solid artistic and cultural foundation.

Art itself is a creation. The true treasure is to risk and to make art a true risk. Anna Rita Alatan performed unique and distinct in this aspect.

In her paintings, profile, portrait and images (usually worring), one structure wonderfully shifted to another, and left marks in the air. She depicted, considered and imagined women. She depicted with dancing ball, the relations between woman and flower, woman and poppy, woman and petal: Full of secret sense, but intense as the heat in greenhouse. She described women with alluring beautiful charming eyes - a symbol, just like sin.

But the country lived by magic ghosts arose on the horizon and stops on the canvas when the transient memory was absorbed.

The imaginative memory is endowed with timeless lightness and flexibility as the rainbow-like butterfly flapping her wings.

The creator and the audience of instant image game appeared, maybe rapidly spread in the clear spots of color and concept, creating specific effect.

Anna Rita Alatan followed and absorbed the style. Her method changed, she began painting and using instant image and subconscious vision, this is a reflection of collected vivid power, which is inimaginable when it appeared in its nature. Expecting and worrying for friends on stars from a place below limit, she visualized many dream-like artistic images and created her fashinating painting.
